Marta Pitchuk is an artist who explores ethnic regions of Ukraine, also the forgotten ones to find something special in them. She paints the Motanka dolls’ faces as detailed as possible, but then covers their eyes with colorful threads to give a soul for each Motanka doll. Motanka is a over 5000 thousand year old protective talisman which mothers crafted to protect their children and keep all evil away. Marta creates her art on a dark background to create a mystical atmosphere, highlight the colors and create the feeling like you were alone with the Motanka.

Based and born in Ivano- Frankivsk, Ukraine.

Marta Pitchuk has created a character from Motanka dolls, which is like a real woman with her feelings and traditional Ukrainian garments. Ukrainian mothers are still teaching their children to craft these talisman dolls. Now they need our help and protection to save their thousand years old cultural heritage, freedom and most of all, their people. Every euro matters and all the sales from this collection goes to help people and children who are suffering from war in Ukraine.

I am so in love with the phone case! The material is amazing, the design is fabulous and I am deeply in love with the fact that this phone cases have soft material on the inside!
